WAHDA (collection by NOUR HAGE)
Many of the dresses are inspired by the traditional Lebanese abaya, and can be paired with Japanese-inspired obi belts to create definition around the waist. Nour wanted all the dresses to feel comfortable for all kinds of wearers.
A portion of the fabric used was sourced from Lebanese designers she is in a collective with, to minimize waste and help each other out: Creative Space Beirut, a free fashion school she works with in Beirut, which had leftover Donna Karen Urban Zen fabric that had been donated to them, and Mirahayek, a fellow Lebanese designer, she got mesh pattern from. She feels a certain sisterhood in that collective, and that is the main theme running through this collection.
Nour Hage Ode Small Belt is available at Boutique Hub. concept store, Achrafieh, Beirut, Lebanon.
ODE belt is inspired by the Japanese OBI belts, used to hold kimonos together. The ODE belts are a perfect addition to any dress of the WAHDA collection. They add definition to the waist and can change the style of the dress. ODE belts can be tied to the back or on the front, they can be worn both on the back or the front of the dresses. Very versatile!
