With our know-how since 1936 the MARKAL brand has developed around our core product: bulgur (cracked wheat, parboiled). It was around this expertise in cooking and working cereal that our brand is built (wheat, oats, spelled, soybeans ... are much grain as we worked). Thus we wished we build on this knowledge and expertise to develop new products for inviting Bio for all meals. The range is thus extended to cover all the needs of families: flour, rice, legumes, grains, pasta ... Bio Invite all your meals with MARKAL products.
The first beans were grown in the late nineteenth century (1872) by a horticulturist Br�tigny sur Orge (Essonne), Gabriel Chevrier. By harvesting prematurely white beans, sown after season and dried over a short period in his shed, he noticed that the preserved vegetable green. The culture developed in the region and the city of Arpajon devoted his fair beans in 1922.
Mainly grown in his native region, the Paris basin, it is also in Brittany and in the North.
